For Malaysian tourists, driving to Singapore is
now made more convenient and simple. You have choice of the Causeway
(Johor Bahru) or 2nd Link.
The North South Highway (southwards) leads to
Johor Bahru. Follow the directional signs to the Causeway. If you
choose to use the 2nd Link, exit North South Highway at Senai North
Inter-change.
Hint: Do fill up your petrol tank or risk
paying twice the price in Singapore. Malaysians driving into Singapore
are also advised against traveling during peak hours (6am to 9am
driving into Singapore, and leaving Singapore 5pm to 8pm during
weekdays) as the traffic flow is usually quite heavy.
Speed limits along Singapore’s expressways
are 80km/hr in certain stretches and 90Km/hr in others. There are
speed traps along various spots along the expressway.
