Hotel 81 Heritage is centrally located near the city centre.
Just behind the hotel are places of interest the site of the
former Malay Heritage Centre with small lanes lined with
shops offering items of Arab and Malay heritage.
The are also a number of restaurant specialising in Arabian
and Asian cuisines. Some restaurants and coffee houses also
offer “water pipe” or bong, where smokers use a water jar
like device to filter tobacco smoke before inhaling.
Try also the famous “tulang”
Soup (a feast consisting beef/mutton bone
marrow, in which the marrow must be knocked or literally
sucked out).
There are many reputable night spots with 10
minutes taxi ride, such as Mohammed Sultan stretch, Boat
Quay and Clark Quay. |
